Allahabad University LAT 2021
AU LAT, also known as Allahabad University Law Admission Test, is an entrance examination conducted by the Allahabad University for candidates seeking and admissions into three years LLB courses. The entrance test is a pen-paper based test mode and the final admissions are based on entrance test scores, eligibility criteria and seat reservation criteria.

- About AU: Allahabad University has been established in the year 1886, it is the fourth oldest university of India after Bombay, Calcutta, and Madras University.
- About AU LAT: Allahabad University Law Admission Test (AU LAT) is a University Level Entrance Test conducted by Allahabad University for admission into 3 years Bachelor of Law (LLB) programme.
- Conducting Body: AU LAT was conducted by Allahabad University, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh once every year.

Allahabad University LAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria
The candidate's application might be rejected at any time during the process of admission if the candidate is found to be ineligible for the examination. Before appearing for any exam, candidates need to be well versed with eligibility criteria scenarios such that any important events related to eligibility criteria should not be missed out in any circumstances. Applicants must go through the AU LAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria before filling the application form. Eligibility criteria for candidates appearing for AU LAT 2021 are listed below.
- Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed graduation in any stream from a recognized as a Deemed to be University or Foreign University recognized as equivalent to the status of an Indian University by an authority.
- Qualifying Marks: The marks to be eligible to appear for AU LAT are 45% marks for general category 42% marks for OBC category 40% marks for SC/ ST category candidates.
- Foreign Students: A Foreign National or Non-Resident Indian who has graduated from a foreign university are no need to appear for the entrance test in spite they will have a separate selection procedure.
Allahabad University LAT 2021 Application Form
- Document Upload: Recently taken passport size photograph and the signature has to be uploaded while filling the Application Form.
- Registration Fee: Candidates have to pay a registration fee as mentioned below for different category:

Allahabad University LAT 2021 Application Process
- AU LAT Registration Steps: Candidate has to follow the below-mentioned steps to fill AU LAT Application Form:
- Visit the official website i.e. www.auadmissions.com.
- Register as a new candidate with Name, Mobile Number, and Email Id.
- The login credential will be sent to the registered Mobile Number and Email Id.
- Fill the Application Form by entering the Personal, Academic, and contact details.
- Upload the recently took passport size photograph and signature on the right place in the form.
- The Application Fee should be paid online (Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking).
- Note: For candidates who exempted from appearing in the Allahabad University Law Admission Test, there shall be a separate procedure to be notified later on by the faculty of Law.
Allahabad University LAT 2021 Admit Card
- Details: The admit card contains the details such as Name, Date of Birth, Roll Number, Exam Date, Exam Venue, Photograph, Signature.
- Id Proof: Candidate must carry anyone government id proof such as Voter Id, PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Driving License, Passport along with the Admit Card.
- Note: If candidates fail to produce there admit card to the invigilator at the exam center, they will not be permitted to attend the examination.
Allahabad University LAT 2021 Exam Pattern
- Mode: AU LAT 2021 will be conducted offline i.e. Pen and Paper-based Test (PBT) on Sep 28, 2021.
- Question Type: The question paper will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
- Topics: The AU LAT Question Paper is subdivided into 3 parts which are
- Part I - Language Comprehension.
- Part II - General Awareness & Current Affairs.
- Part III - Reasoning, Mental Ability & Legal Aptitude.
- No. of Questions: The total questions will be 150 which comprise of 300 marks in total.
- Duration: The time given to complete the examination will be 2 hours 30 minutes.
- Marking Scheme: Two marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 0.5 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
- Medium: The question paper will be in English.

Allahabad University LAT 2021 Syllabus
- Syllabus: The syllabus for AU LAT 2021 will be based on general topics to check the candidate's skills in English, Aptitude, General Topics.
- Topics: Candidates will have to answer questions from Language Comprehension, General Awareness & Current Affairs, and Reasoning, Mental Ability & Legal Aptitude
- Authority: The syllabus will be decided by the Allahabad University.
- Preparation: Students must make sure that they follow the correct syllabus referred by the authority to prepare well for the Allahabad University Law Admission Test.
Allahabad University LAT 2021 Exam Centre
- Exam Centre: Allahabad University LAT 2021 will be conducted in Allahabad University, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh.
- Id Proof: Candidates must carry a valid id proof along with the Admit Card to the exam centre without fail. Candidates without the Admit Card will not be allowed to write Allahabad University LAT 2021.
- Note: Candidates must make sure that they should be present 1 hour before the prescribed timing for the verification process, latecomers are not allowed to appear for the exam at any circumstance.
Allahabad University LAT 2021 Results
- Answer Key: Answer key is a material which is published after an examination, containing answers to the questions of the concerned exam question paper which can be downloaded from the official website.
- Scorecard: The scorecard/ rank sheet is released by the conducting authority which contains details about Name, Roll Number, Photograph, Course Applied, Marks secured in each section.
- Merit List: Once the result has been declared the Allahabad University will release a Merit List according to the marks obtained by the candidate in the entrance examination.
- Cut-off: Cut-off refers to minimum marks required for qualifying an exam. AU LAT will announce cut-off scores after a week of the examination result. AU LAT cut-off will be announced for all categories - General, OBC, SC/ ST and physically handicapped. Factors determining the cut-off are mentioned below:
- Number of candidates appeared for Allahabad University LAT.
- Candidates who have cleared the State Level Law Entrance Test.
- Difficulty level of the paper.
- Number of seats available in Allahabad University.
Allahabad University LAT 2021 Counselling
- Shortlisted: Candidates who have been shortlisted based on the merit list will be called for further counselling process which will be conducted in the Allahabad University on the specified date.
- Counselling Procedure: The counselling procedure will consist of Verification of Entrance Exam Score/ Rank, Seat Allotment and Document Verification.
- Required Documents: A candidate who is Selected or Waiting list, while appearing for admission process must bring with him his Admit Card, Required Photographs, Requisite Fee, and the original and Self-attested photocopies of all those marks sheets/ certificates which are required to be attached along with the Admission Application Form. Admission shall not be given to the candidates in the absence of any of these required documents.
