What is DU LLB Entrance Exam?
National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts DU LLB Entrance Exam for admissions to three-year LLB courses offered at Campus Law Centre, Law Centre-I and Law Centre-II of Delhi University. The exam is conducted at the national level at more than 18 test cities (listed below). Through the entrance exam, more than 2,900 LLB seats are offered at the law centres of Delhi University.
DU LLB Entrance Exam 2021 Eligibility Criteria
For admissions to Faculty of Law, Delhi University, candidates should meet the academic qualification and minimum marks requirements as per their categories are given below:
- General Category: Candidates holding a graduation/ post-graduation degree from Delhi University or any other recognized Indian/foreign university with at least 50% aggregate marks.
- OBC Category: Candidates passing graduation/ post-graduation from a recognised university with at least 45% aggregate marks.
- SC/ST Category: Candidates passing graduation/post-graduation from a recognised university with at least 40% aggregate marks.
- CW Category: Candidates who come under widows/ wards of ex-servicemen/serving personnel (CW) category are given a 5% marks relaxation, which means they must have obtained at least 45% aggregate marks in their qualifying degree.
- PH Category: Candidates holding a graduation/ post-graduation degree from a recognised institute or university and minimum marks secured should be at least 45% marks in aggregate.

The official dates for DU LLB Entrance Exam 2021 have not been announced yet, however, students can refer the tentative dates as mentioned below:

DU LLB Entrance Exam Admission Process 2021
Candidates must know the DU LLB Entrance Exam admission process before applying for admission. There are various steps one must keep in mind as mentioned below:
- Registration: The first step is registering online on the official website of Delhi University. The candidate has to create a login ID and password in order to apply online and to check results and download the admit card. The ID and password will also be used in the University login once selected for the programme.
- Apply for DU LLB Entrance Exam: Once a login ID and password has been created, the candidate has to apply online on the official website of Delhi University. The candidate has to enter details such as their personal details, academic details, upload their documents as required and pay the application fee. Once the fee has been paid, the candidate will have successfully applied for the DU LLB Entrance Exam. Candidates are required to check the eligibility criteria of the programme before applying as ineligible candidate's applications will be rejected at any time of the admission process.
- Download Admit Card: Once successfully applied, the candidate has to download the DU LLB Entrance Exam admit card online on the official website of NTA-DU. A link will be mentioned on the PDF at the time of the release of the admit card for the entrance exam. The admit card is an important document which needs to be carried to the entrance exam.

- Declaration of Results: The DU LLB Entrance Exam Results will be declared online on the official website of Delhi University. The scorecards will be released, followed by the release of the merit lists of the course, which will contain the names of students who have been shortlisted for the counselling round.

The entrance exam is conducted for law centres of DU only, therefore the colleges accepting DU LLB scores are - Campus Law Centre, Law Centre I, and Law Centre II located in Chhatra Marg, Delhi. The category-wise seat for LLB courses offered at all three law centres is as under:

DU LLB Exam Pattern 2021
In its admission brochure, the DU Faculty of Law has notified the exam pattern of DU LLB 2021. Candidates who are willing to take the test should be aware of its various aspects such as mode, duration, marking scheme, test structure etc. The exam pattern of DU LLB entrance test will provide a complete overview of the test thus helping the candidates in understanding the technicalities of it. DU LLB Syllabus 2021
The syllabus is integral to the DU LLB preparation. Candidates preparing for the DU LLB entrance test must be well aware of the DU LLB syllabus for the entrance test. The Law Faculty of Delhi University publishes the syllabus of DU LLB 2021 on its official website. Candidates must keep their preparation in line with the requirements of DU LLB syllabus. Not referring to the official syllabus of DU LLB may result in a misdirected preparation thus damaging the chances of clearing the examination. The DU LLB syllabus consists of the following subjects.
- English language comprehension
- General Knowledge
- Legal Awareness
- Analytical Abilities
From the above mentioned four sections given in DU LLB syllabus, each section will have 25 objective type questions each carrying four marks. For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted from the total score.
DU LLB Students Reaction and Paper Analysis
DU LLB entrance exam 2021 is yet to be conducted. Given below is the student reaction for DU LLB exam 2020. The overall paper of the law entrance exam was moderate to difficult level.
- Candidates who appeared for the exam shared that there were less General Awareness questions
- Most of the questions asked in the Legal Awareness section were from the Indian Constitution
- Candidates found the Analytical Reasoning Section to be difficult
As compared to other sections of the DU LLB paper, the questions from English Language and Mathematics were easy
DU LLB Answer Key 2021
NTA will release the answer key of DU LLB 2021 a few days after the conduct of the test. At the first instance, the conducting body will release a provisional answer key. The provisional answer key of DU LLB 2021 informs the candidate about the correct answers of the questions asked in the test. With the help of DU LLB answer key, the candidates will be able to calculate the approximate marks they may score in the test. The NTA also gives an opportunity to the candidates to raise objections against the provisional answer key. In case the objections raised by the candidate are valid, the official will make the corrections in the provisional answer key and release an updated answer key.
DU LLB Result 2021
National Testing Agency releases the result of DU LLB 2021 along with the result of PG courses offered by the Delhi University, The DU LLB result 2021 will be released in the form of a scorecard and a composite merit list. The scorecard of DU LLB 2021 will be available for download at the admission portal of the NTA. Candidates will have to log in at the NTA portal in order to download individual DU LLB results. It carries the details such as marks obtained by the candidate, roll number, name of the candidate and other such information.

DU LLB Merit List 2021
Delhi University prepares the merit list of DU LLB based on the marks obtained by the candidates. It releases the DU LLB 2021 merit list at its admission portal. The DU LLB 2021 merit list will carry the names of the candidates in descending order of their marks. A candidate who has secured the highest marks in the DU LLB entrance examination will be placed at the first rank and will be followed by the other candidates. The merit list of DU LLB will inform about the merit rank of the candidates along with their marks, name and roll number. The merit list of DU LLB 2021 entrance examination will be an important document as the university refers to it for shortlisting candidates for the counselling and seat allotment process.
DU LLB Counselling 2021
The Delhi University conducts the counselling of DU LLB in offline mode. However, the registration facility for attending the counselling will be available in online mode at the official website of the university. Based on the merit list, the university will invite the candidates for appearing in the counselling process. Candidates will have to register for the counselling of DU LLB 2021 and submit their documents. The university officials will verify the documents of the candidates and based on the rank and preference given by the candidates, an admission list will be released.
DU LLB Seat Allotment 2021
The counselling of DU LLB 2021 is conducted in three rounds. After each round, the university releases an admission list or the seat allotment list. The DU LLB seat allotment is a process of shortlisting the candidates for admissions. While verifying the documents at the time of counselling, the university prepares an admission list based on the following factors.
- Rank secured by the candidate
- Preference of law centre given by the candidate while filling the counselling registration form.
Candidates who have secured a better rank than others will be given priority during seat allotment. The DU LLB seat allotment list will contain the names of the successful candidates along with their marks, rank (category rank), and other details.

DU LLB Cutoff 2021
Delhi University announces the admission list after each round of counselling and seat allotment. The list also informs about the cut off of DU LLB 2021 entrance exam. The DU LLB cut off is released for all categories separately. The cut off of DU LLB entrance exam is an important indicator of the minimum marks required in the entrance exam. Candidates may check the previous years’ cut off to know about the expected cut off for admission.
