This huge blue star is located over halfway across the universe. It took nine billion years for the Icarus’ light to reach the Earth. Icarus’ official name is MACS J1149+2223 Lensed Star 1.

The team including Jose Diego of the Instituto de Fisica de Cantabria in Spain, and Steven Rodney of the University of South Carolina in the US named the star as ‘Icarus’ after the Greek mythological character who flew too near the Sun on wings of feathers and wax that melted.

India, Britain sign various agreements in areas of technology, trade and investment

Commonwealth countries adopt Commonwealth Cyber Declaration

The leaders of 53 countries agreed to work closely to strengthen their cybersecurity frameworks and response mechanisms by 2020.

The declaration was adopted on the last day of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in London.

US Supreme Court restricts deportation of convicted immigrants

The court invalidated the provision in a 5-4 ruling.
The ruling came on a plea filed by convicted California burglar James Garcia Dimaya, a legal immigrant from the Philippines.

India top recipient of Commonwealth FDI: Report
